Smart Nurse ("we", "our", "the app") is a clinical reference and professional-development app for nurses and healthcare professionals in the Gulf region. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.
When you first open the app, an anonymous account is created automatically. If you choose to create a full account, we collect your email address and name. This information is stored securely via Firebase Authentication.
If you use the ECG AI Scanner feature, you may choose to upload a photo from your camera or gallery. This image is sent to Google Gemini AI for analysis. If you use the CV Builder, you may add a profile photo. Images are processed for the feature you requested and are not stored permanently on our servers.
The Interview Academy's Voice Interview feature uses your device microphone to capture your spoken answers. The audio is converted to text on your device using speech-to-text, and the resulting text may be sent to Google Gemini AI for evaluation. We do not store raw audio recordings.
The Roster Scanner feature allows you to upload Excel files containing shift schedules. These files are processed locally on your device to generate your roster view and are not uploaded to our servers.
If you choose to submit a salary entry to the community database, we collect: hospital name, country, position, salary amount, currency, year, years of experience, nationality, and allowance information. This data is stored in Cloud Firestore and is visible to other app users as anonymous community data.
We use Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used and how often, so we can improve the app. We also track in-app search queries to improve search results. This data is aggregated and anonymized — it cannot be used to identify you individually.
We use Firebase Crashlytics to automatically receive technical reports if the app crashes. These reports may include device model, OS version, and app state at the time of the crash. This data is anonymized and not linked to your personal identity.
The app displays advertisements powered by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's Advertising ID to show relevant ads. This identifier is shared with Google's advertising network. You can reset or limit your Advertising ID in your device settings.
iOS Users — App Tracking Transparency: On iOS devices, the app will request your permission before accessing your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA), in accordance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You may deny this permission and the app will continue to function normally, though ads may be less relevant to you.
If you allow notifications, a device token is generated via Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send you reminders (e.g. license expiry alerts, shift reminders). This token is not linked to your personal identity.
This includes professional details (name, department, years of experience, certifications, salary goals) and values you enter into clinical tools (calculators, care plan builder, sedation assistant, wellbeing tracker). These are stored locally on your device using secure local storage and are not transmitted to our servers.

Data sent to Gemini is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. AI outputs are for educational reference only and may not be accurate.
The app displays advertisements. AdMob may use your Advertising ID to serve relevant ads. On iOS, this requires your explicit permission via App Tracking Transparency. See Google Ads Privacy.
The job search feature uses the JSearch API via RapidAPI to retrieve job listings. Your search query and country preference are sent to this service. No personal account information is sent.
The weather widget uses the free Open-Meteo API with fixed coordinates for Dammam, Saudi Arabia. No personal location data is sent.

Most preferences and logs are stored locally on your device. Account-linked data in Cloud Firestore is protected by security rules restricting access to your own authenticated account. All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time using the link below or by contacting us. We will respond to your request within 30 days. Uninstalling the app removes locally stored data from your device.

Smart Nurse is a professional tool intended for nurses, nursing students, and healthcare professionals. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU), and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
Smart Nurse is primarily designed for healthcare professionals in the Gulf region (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman) and Egypt. Data may be processed on servers located in the United States and European Union via Google Firebase services.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Smart Nurse offers an optional monthly subscription called Smart Nurse Pro that removes all advertisements from the app.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may collect your app user ID and purchase history to validate your subscription. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
We do not collect, store, or process your payment card numbers, bank account details, or any financial account information. All payment data is handled entirely by Google Play or Apple App Store.
